Driver involved in Qandeel Bloach Murder

Driver Abdul Basit who had driven Qandeel Baloch’s brother and cousin to Multan in a taxi after the murder took place knew about the plan all along.



Polygraph tests for Abdul Basit revealed that he knew that blamed Waseem and Haq Nawaz had planned to kill social media responsiveness Qandeel Baloch, police said.

On July 15, Basit had allegedly driven the two to Multan from Baloch's ancestral village Shah Saddar Din in Dera Ghazi Khan, around 130 kilometers away. He is reportedly a resident of the same village as that of Baloch.

Waseem and Haq Nawaz had reportedly returned to the village shortly after the murder.

Basit had handed himself over to police on July 27 in Multan.

Earlier, the mother of murdered social media icon had requested that Mufti Qavi, a cleric who made headlines for his debatable pictures with Qandeel, had provoked her son Waseem into murdering her daughter.

Qandeel’s brother Waseem had admitted to crushing her to death for the 'honour of the family'.

Qandeel had shot to fame after her quirky videos and controversial video.
